If you have found this blog and you are looking for the 5k run pics then you will need to scroll down a bit. That is because a lot happens on the waterfront and I took a lot of photos of some of the action.
Fastest around the course tonight was Ben Twyman who cracked
out a time of 16.22, just 9 seconds short of a new PB. This is his 11th win in the in the
current 14/15 series which puts him at the top of the winners list. I can't wait for the next Bert and Ben clash because I know both have been training hard, possibly for the 22nd of Feb?
Second fastest was Valentino Luna Hernandez who clocked in at
16.33 picking a new PB by 1 second. Tony Wolken was third in 16.54.
The reasonable times can most likely be attributed to the
excellent weather although this does not eliminate the ever-present congestion
on the waterfront.
Participating for the first time was running legend Gabby O’Rourke
who grabbed the fastest female spot in a time of 18.20. Gabby was followed by
Andrea Peat in 19.17 with Ayesha Shafi a short way back in 19.23.
