2014 Lifestyle 5k Series Wellington Waterfront Tue 14 Oct

Results

Ben Tywman scooted around the course unchallenged to take his tally of wins to 8 in a row. His time of 16.45 was a few seconds slower than last week and well off his best time for the series of 16.14.

His dominance over the last two months has become quite interesting and I am intrigued by the lack of competition. I would think by now that the race organisers could show a bit of generosity and dole out free race entry to Twyman for the rest of the year. Perhaps they have already done this.

Ayesha Shafi was the first female home in a time of 19.29. It was her first race in this series and for this event overall.

2014 Lifestyle 5k Series Wellington Waterfront Tue 7 Oct

Results

Ben Twyman triumphs again winning his 7th 5k waterfront race in as many weeks.

Twyman's time was 16.42 which is his second slowest time of the series so far, but the lack of competition and ever-present waterfront congestion would not have helped.

Chasing hard was Bert Prendergast who clocked a series PB of 16.54, breaking 17.00 for the first time.

2014 Lifestyle 5k Series Wellington Waterfront Tue 29 Sep

Results

The first Tuesday after the start of daylight saving. A brilliantly fine day means an insanely busy waterfront. But this didn't stop Ben Tywman from clinching his 6th straight win in a time of 16.22. It will be interesting to see how far Ben can take this winning streak.

I bet the water will be cold
