won the senior men, senior women, master men and master women relays.
Wellington Harrier Athletic won the junior men and junior women and the master
men over 50. Olympic won the under 14 boys and under 14 girls.
Last year WHAC came close to nicking the Shaw Baton when
they ran a bunch of juniors in their Senior Men’s A-team. A masterful stroke for sure which took the
Scottish strategists by surprise. This year WHAC chose not to repeat this
approach and ran its fast juniors in the junior grade for an easy win.However, some of the best battles were in the kid’s grade especially in the Boys U14 grade when Olympic and Trentham fought it out, with 7 seconds separating them at the finish. It was even tighter in the Boys U12 race with 3 seconds between the winners Hutt Valley and Trentham.
